ACUTE INJURIES

Electric-Muscle Stimulation or E-Stim

We have multiple forms of Muscle stimulation; ( ie.. Russian Stim, High Voltage Pulsed Stimulation, Galvanic, Various forms of Micro-Currents, Interferential Stimulation, Biphasic Stimulation, etc…) that assist us with Acute Injuries mostly and some Chronic conditions.

Ultrasound w/ Muscle Stimulation

Ultrasound and Ultrasound with Muscle-Stimulation Combination. The Ultrasound/ Muscle-Stimulation combination is utilized a lot with extremity injuries and other conditions such as lateral epicondylitis or tennis elbow, CTS, (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome), and much more.

Hot and Cold Packs

These are utilized much particularly prior to doing a CMT procedure or Myofascial Release or Deep Tissue work on an injury where there’s spasm or chronic adhesions; A must to utilize the Hot Packs.  Cold Packs are used with our patients’ who receive aggressive work conditioning where their injuries may swell or inflame.  We utilize as part of the cool down process.  We will also use of post-surgical patients’ and so on.

Ultra-Sonic Therapy

Almost every patient receives this modality due to its healing effects of the injury.  Every cell in our body works off frequency and oscillation.  The Ultrasonic Unit assists the body in bringing a chaotic cellular environment from injury or trauma; to a more stable Homeostasis.  This absolutely promotes faster healing and decreases the patient’s pain much faster than traditional US Units.

Hot Wax Treatment

Hot Wax Treatment for Hand/ Wrist, Foot/ Ankle, and Elbows.

Vibratory Soft Tissue Stimulation

Vibratory Soft Tissue Stimulation of various forms for Trapezius/ Shoulder work, Back and Low Back conditioning, Leg, Arm, etc…

Deep Tissue Myofascial Release

Deep Tissue Myofascial Release performed by our Qualified Therapists or the Physician personally. This is something that has continued to set us apart from all other clinics, facilities or centers.  We perform this on each and every patient unless contraindicated.  Why is this done you may ask?  Because there’s a sense of healing that cannot be explained when a human touches another human to assist them in there healing.  Further, the biological effects and benefits from this procedure are amazing and simply put, allow the patient to get well much faster than traditional modalities that are cold and dead.  Deep Tissue work, massage, Myofascial Release, all have qualities and effects that all we know, are healing and we will continue to utilize them as part of our manual therapies.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy and/or Neuromuscular Reeducation by our Treating Physician or our Qualified Therapists. Many of our patients’ will receive this technique due to localized areas in the injured muscle whereby lactic acid builds up.  Trigger Point Therapy and other very specific techniques assist the Physician in getting the patient well and having them suffer less at home due to dull muscle pain that never goes away.  These areas must be worked out by our trained therapist or the Physician and is what we provide in some fashion on every patient.  This is very useful for patient’s with acute or chronic shoulder or Rotator Cuff Injuries, localized Spinal muscle or Extremity spasm or Post-Traumatic Headaches.

Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy, CMT

Chiropractic Care is also a part of our treatment available for spinal injuries mostly but also for extremity injuries too.  Many injuries such as ankle or wrist often do well with CMT treatment directed to the area.  This doesn’t have to be applied every time, but often for the best results.  When there are bony segments that misalign or even luxate, it is our job to softly yet swiftly manipulate these back into place so the joint can heal properly as it once was.  All too often people will only get therapy and no CMT procedures.  Later, they will come to find most of their discomfort will return because the joint was not corrected with CMT while receiving their Physical Therapy.  It is vital to have this performed along WITH your Physical Therapy. *(See our Chiropractic Page on this in more detail)

CHRONIC INJURIES

Meridian Line Acupuncture point Stimulation

STS - Meridian Line Acupuncture point Stimulation “without needles”.

Bio - Feedback

7 station lab complete with Sophisticated Software Program, Laptop Computers and Bio-Feedback Technicians. Patients’ whom present with chronic muscle pain, spasm of chronic pain syndromes with secondary headaches and so forth, all qualify for this procedure.  The protocol is usually a 20-30 minute session that enables the patient to focus on the screen and is able to get a bio-read on their body functions, mostly just muscle activity.  This is important because often, patients start their own pain pattern cycles that make their conditions worsen.  Bio-Feedback can help them get rid of the chronic pain and also to be more aware of their problem and how to manage it in their lives if it’s to be permanent.

Vertebral Axial Decompression / VAX-D

Treatment or Transaxial Traction. This is used specifically for our Lower Back injury patients who have disc bulges and/or herniations and are surgical candidates. These patient’s usually failed standard methods of care and choose not to do surgery or are trying to avoid it if at all possible. There is an 87% success rate for these patient’s who receive the care, becoming less symptomatic and further, avoiding lower spinal surgery. We have also recently purchased a newer table and can not only perform lower back isolated Spinal Decompression, but can do Cervical Spines as well.  People with Disc Bulges, Facet Imbrication or Arthrosis, Degenerative Disc Disease, all are encompassing and are candidates for this procedure.  Treatment lasts 20 minutes each and usually must come at 3x’s/wk to 5x’s/wk for a total of 20-25 treatment for it to be successful.  We desire our patients’ to engage in other activities with our centers while getting this treatment and spread them out more often from 2-3x’s/wk.  We have found this to be the way to go and have actually got many patients from getting lower back surgery.  This system really works and again, is 87% successful in diminishing the patients pain and further, keeping them out of surgery.

Surface Neuro-Stimulation

Surface Neuro-Stimulation Applied Application or “SURFACE TRANSCUTANEOUS STIMULATION”, (STS). This is utilized with patients’ whose pain levels in the acute phase are higher than normal.  We will introduce the patient to multiple sessions of this for 20 minutes at a time per day  decreasing their pain levels immediately.  It is also used however, for chronic injuries or post-op patients’ where chronic pain is involved.  To break this cycle or pain pattern, we must utilize this in order to trick the brain and to break the pain pathway cycles – much like a TEN’s unit – but more sophisticated and much stronger.

TEN’s and IF Units for Rental and Purchase. Plus, all acute injury modalities with proper trained set-up for chronic relief care.
