Dr. Liepins primary emphasis is chiropractic care and physical therapy. Her skills and style of care are unique, personal, and highly effective. Her well-deserved reputation comes from the results she achieves with her patients. She is regarded as an inspired diagnostician because of her ability to locates the sources of pain and dysfunction. Furthermore, she looks beyond the immediate symptoms of musculoskeletal problems to see how lifestyle may be contributing to a patient’s conditions.
Before Dr. Liepins began her Chicago chiropractic practice, she was a physician and practiced medicine for a number of years in her native Latvia. This experience, combined with her chiropractic training in the United States, gives her a rare and deep understanding of the subtle nature of the physical body. For patients in pain, she provides the gentle healing touch that cures. And, for patients who desire to maintain their health and vitality, Dr. Liepins is a wellspring of intelligent, sophisticated and strategic preventive care and counseling.
Dr. Liepins graduated from the Life Chiropractic College West in California, and also received an MD degree at the Paula Stradina School of Medicine in Latvia. She is a member of the American Chiropractic Society, the International Chiropractic Society, and the Illinois Chiropratic Society.
Dr. Chanda Ohlendorf graduated with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic and also received her Bachelor of Science Degree in MicroBiology from the University of Iowa. She is proficient at manual adjusting techniques, both low force adjusting and activator styles. She also enjoys assisting with Physical Therapy measures, Rehabilitation, Therapeutic Exercise, X-Ray and Exam and total patient care management with preventative home measures.
Dr. Ohlendorf is committed to helping families in the community to experience improved health and vitality. She speaks to local schools, businesses and organizations on health, wellness and safety topics. She enjoys educating others on how to prevent injury, especially in the work place and at home and overall health and wellness. Her mission is to empower patients to reach for their optimal health potential through genuine care and education.
Dr. Punita was raised in Canada and graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa, 2007'. Since then she has applied her graduate back ground to the healing of the sick and afflicted improving her skills and technique over the years. Her interest in Chiropractic was developed at an early age after going through a motor vehicle injury. She visited a Chiropractor and experienced the dramatic effects of spinal adjustments coupled with therapy. Since then she has been a believer. Knowing the importance of the variety of health treatments and how they compliment one another, she made the life alternating decision to become a Chiropractor.
She is fluent in three languages which include Hindi, Punjabi and English. Her main purpose is to provide and personalize quality Chiropractic care with an emphasis on Preventative measures and patient education. Her hobbies include spending free time outdoors hiking, running, swimming and quality family time. We are lucky to have her on board with us here at the SPINE and JOINT INSTITUTE.
